Michael Redlener, MD, FAEMS is the Division 3 Deputy Medical Director for the Fire Department of the City of New York. He currently serves as the Chair of the Innovations and Research Committee for the State EMS Council, as well as the Immediate Past President of the National EMS Quality Alliance (NEMSQA). He is a past chair of the NAEMSP Quality and Safety Committee and the Co-Founder of the NAEMSP Quality and Safety Course which is transforming the approach to quality improvement in the EMS community. With a focus on systems of care and quality improvement, he has worked to improve the function of care delivery in trauma and disaster preparedness, cardiac care and stroke across the continuum of care. He has a passion for creating high-value, evidence-based, patient-centered quality measures that give EMS agencies and organizations the tools to improve care for patients. Dr. Redlener is a board-certified Emergency and EMS physician and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
