Description

This session will offer an introduction to using virtual reality (VR) in healthcare education. Virtual reality is a technology that supports experiential learning and skill practice in an immersive, simulated environment. Virtual reality offers unique experiences and engagement that are not otherwise possible in the traditional learning environment. We will discuss opportunities for incorporating VR into your curricula and discuss how it can help accomplish your educational objectives. While our focus is on prehospital education, programs of all sizes and education levels can benefit from VR. From defining goals for your program, developing a learning scenario, to the process for implementation, this interactive session is perfect for educators at all levels, program directors, leaders, and learners to experience how VR can help bring education to life.
