He has a 38-year history in emergency services as an EMT, Paramedic, EMS Physician and EMS Medical Director. He trained at the University at Buffalo in emergency medicine and EMS and has worked in academic and community emergency departments in several states. He has been an active EMS medical director for several services during his career. He has a dynamic style and expertise in making complex concepts simple. He is active as an EMS physician and educator nationally. Dr. Myers most recently was the EMS Medical Director for Susquehanna Regional EMS in Williamsport, PA and currently works clinically at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam, NY.Jeff Myers

A strong understanding of cardiovascular physiology is essential for making sound clinical decisions in both emergency and critical care settings. In Part 1 of this advanced two-part series, participants will explore the hemodynamic principles that drive circulation, tissue perfusion, and oxygen delivery. Through an in-depth review of normal cardiovascular function and common pathophysiologic changes, learners will build a foundation for interpreting patient presentations, understanding invasive and non-invasive monitoring, and applying cardiovascular medications and therapies.
