We tend to talk about the big one, that giant massive disaster, the kind that rarely happens. How do you keep your organization ready to respond to the big one, while building useful everyday skills? Easy, have them plan out responses for the events they see all the time, country fairs, carnivals and car shows.
This class will cover planning for small-scale events to build readiness for the big one. We’ll talk about planning, staffing, managing and all other details required to successfully staff local events. We’ll share strategies for responding, building morale, keeping people engaged by making them part of the plan, and executing an MCI strategy for local events. Attendees will understand how to put a plan together and build community trust that they’ll be ready when something terrible happens.
