Will Krost, Mercy HealthEmergency PhysicianWill Krost is an experienced emergency medicine physician and paramedic with over 30 years in the field. He is the Associate Chief Medical Officer at Lexington Clinic and oversees emergency medicine and EMS for CHI St. Joseph Health in Kentucky. Before medical school, he worked as a paramedic, flight paramedic, EMS Leader, and EMS Educator. He is a board-certified emergency physician, holds a bachelor’s degree in applied sciences and an MBA in healthcare administration, and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Will has been recognized for his contributions to emergency medicine and EMS, including serving as a subject matter expert and leader of national EMS education standards. He has published extensively and lectured at numerous conferences.
Dan Limmer, Limmer EducationCo-FounderDaniel Limmer is a paramedic and police officer who has been involved in EMS and Law Enforcement for 40 years. He is an instructor for Galveston College in Galveston, Texas and an EMS instructor/coordinator in Maine. Dan speaks at EMS conferences around the world. He is a co-author of several textbooks including Emergency Care, EMR Complete, the education standards Transition Series for EMT, AEMT and Paramedic, and EMPACT. He develops smart phone and web-based review apps for the emergency service fields through his company, Limmer Education, LLC.
This two-day workshop will offer a fast paced and creative approach to advanced provider continuing education. Through a combination of lecture, interactive discussion, and student-centered active learning, participants will earn 16 hours of ALS core content that may be applied toward their NYS CME-Based Recertification. This series of sessions will explore cutting edge clinical topics, describe evidence-based best practices, and hone the critical thinking skills necessary to achieve excellence as a modern practitioner. Attending this workshop for two consecutive years will satisfy all of your core content requirements for recertification. These 16 hours may also be applied towards the Mandatory Core Content required by the NREMT by meeting the objectives of the EMS National Education Standards.
