As a senior representative for the Department of Health in the Bureau of EMS, Gene serves as the Unit Chief and administrator of the continuing education recertification program providing guidance about regulations and program management. Prior to joining the bureau, Gene has served since 1977 as volunteer firefighter, then EMT and later as a career paramedic and field supervisor and spent almost a decade of that as a flight paramedic.
