Tyler started as an EMT in 2003, before getting distracted with medical school at UVM and Emergency Medicine training at Duke. He currently works shifts in the Adult and Pediatric Emergency Departments at the University of Rochester as well as providing medical direction for several area agencies. He holds his EMT-P and FP-C and works both ground and helicopter EMS shifts. In July 2025, Tyler starts as the EMS Fellow at SUNY Upstate! Tyler cares deeply about providing the best care to the sickest patients with focus on airway excellence, resuscitation and the science of human performance. When not at work you can likely find him climbing, skiing or trying to keep up with his 7-year-old son.
