Many providers of all levels suffer from an over confidence in their abilities to respond during sudden changes in the patient's condition during transports. While acute changes in the patient's stability do happen, the lack of frequency can cause a slow decline in their wariness for clinical changes. Providers must continuously prepare through skills practice, mental preparation, and realistic, practical scenario based exercises.
