You are called to a local birth center for maternal exhaustion. When you arrive you are greeted by a woman who introduces herself as the midwife, and states shell be riding with you to the hospital as you transport her client. While I am sure this situation raises just as many questions as it does potential red flags, midwifery led birth and planning to deliver outside of the hospital is becoming much more common place.
