Description
We know that properly securing patients to the stretcher is an important part of transporting a patient to the hospital (in both the 911 and interfacility setting). What about pediatric patients? Newborn, neonatal, and pediatric patients all come with unique considerations and equipment to ensure safe transport of our most vulnerable population. In this presentation, we will discuss the importance of ensuring safe transport of pediatric patients, the current state of safe pediatric transport, and some of the different pieces of equipment used in safely transporting newborn, neonatal, and pediatric patients.
