Description
Trauma is the leading cause of death for persons age 1-44 years. Traumatic injuries are acute and sudden events that can cause severe injury and death. A systematic approach to caring for these patients has been shown to increase survival of the trauma patient. In this session we will discuss the different components of a "Trauma System" and how each part contributes to patient survival and reentry back into society. Core: Trauma
